I believe this was the building that used to hold the library and movie theatre

Yes you are right. There was also a canteen, wood working shop and the teen centre in the building.

It was the curling rink, canteen, teen centre and wood working shop. The library was located on Dumont in a seperate building.

Cool pictures. I was stationed at Dana in 1964/5. RCAF Fire Department. Sad to see the place in ruins. Had some good times there.

My older siblings called it the social centre. I was too young to go but it sounds like they had A LOT of fun here!!

Our Dad was posted @ Dana 1967-1970. My brother and i attended scouts & girl guides in that community center. If I recall the long building had a curling rink in it? Also remember the winter festivals. The pmqs were divided up into wards and we each built fantastic ice sculptures to compete for a prize. Our ward won for a building a huge dragon out of ice. Think there are pics of it on slides at our Mom's! Fond childhood memories!
